The Cleveland Browns debut for Jake Delhomme was a raging success. Josh Cribbs was happier than everyone.
During his only drive, Delhomme led Cleveland to scoring a touchdown, while Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay threw a touchdown pass of his own, as the Browns defeated the Packers on Saturday night 27-24 in the exhibition opening game that was decided on a field goal from Phil Dawson with time expiring.
Delhomme said, it doesn’t count. It’s preseason. However everyone is smiling.
Cribbs certainly was. Last year at times it seemed like he was the only weapon for Cleveland during their 5-11 season. He didn’t even touch the ball in the game versus the Packers.
